New underpasses needed to stop tigers being killed

The Chandrapur Forest Dept. has requested new underpasses and the clearing of existing blocked ones to save wild animals from being killed by trains in the Brahmapuri-Chandrapur line section. Three tiger cubs were killed in on November 15th by the speeding Chanda Fort-Gondia passenger train together with 24 wild animals including tigers, sloth bears, leopards, hyenas, bison, wild boar, nilgai and deer during the last 8 years.
