Leopard ( Panthera pardus fusca) seen in the forests of Bandhavgarh.

In October 2006 while seaching a forest at Bandhavgarh from an elephant I heard a Sambar deer alarm call from higher ground and went to investigate.  Very soon instead of  finding a tiger to my surprise I discovered a leopard that was stalking three Sambar deer.
