Good news for the tiger population in Rajasthan

It is reported that 49 tiger cubs have been born at the tiger reserves of Rajasthan in the last 6 years, where the State is now home to a total of 85 tigers. This number is broken down to 70 big cats at Ranthambhore, 14 in Sariska and a recently translocated male tiger to the Mukundara Hills tiger reserve. Of the 49 cubs that have been born 40 of these have been born to tigresses at Ranthambhore since 2013.
