Very cold weather has not deterred the census at Bandipur and Nagarahole

Day 2 of the tiger census at Bandipur and Nagarahole continues in biting cold weather. Over 60 volunteers and 250 forest department staff are working to carry out the census in the 12 zones at Bandipur with a further 30 volunteers and forest staff are carrying out the census at Nagarahole tiger reserve. To help forest staff and volunteers in recording accurate data The Wildlife Institue of India has produced an app. known as 'The Monitoring System for Tiger Intensive Protection and Ecological Status or M-STripes'.
