Bandhavgarh tigress released into the wild

A tigress that was relocated from Bandhavgarh tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh last June has finally been released into the wild at Satkosia tiger reserve to join a male tiger from Kanha tiger reserve that had also recently been released into Satkosia. It is hoped that the 2 tigers will help increase the nunber of big cats into the reserve.  Before release the tigress had been housed in a specialized enclosure within Satkosia while her health and psychological status could be monitored before release.
