Tiger hit by vehicle on Paoni Deolapar highway

The Paoni Deolapar highway that scrapes by the Pench Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra has pulled the plug on many wild animals ever since it was constructed, with three tigers killed in the last one year on the highway, and one seriously injured on Saturday. According to the National Tiger Conservation Authority's  (NTCA) records to December 15, 2018, there have been 95 cases of tiger deaths in India.  Of this, 41 cases of tiger deaths outside tiger reserves have been reported. Of this number, 14 occurred in Maharashtra, which accounted for over 34% of all deaths outside tiger reserves in the country. I enjoyed an excellent 2 weeks in India from the 24th October 2019 where my time was spent at Pench and Tadoba tiger reserves.
